Approach
A method built around your process, not our product
We don't arrive with a solution looking for a problem. Every engagement follows the same disciplined path: understand how work really flows, quantify what it costs, and only then decide what to build. Each phase ends with something concrete in your hands.
Understand
We start on your floor, not in our editor. Through working sessions with the people who actually run the process, we map how work flows today, including the workarounds and exceptions that never appear in the official procedure.
- Process walk-throughs with the people doing the work
- Review of the systems, spreadsheets and handovers involved
- Collection of volumes, durations and error rates as a baseline
You get: A clear map of the current process, validated by your team.
Diagnose
With the process visible, the friction becomes obvious: double entry, waiting loops, rework, knowledge trapped in one person's head. We quantify what each problem costs and rank the opportunities by impact against effort.
- Bottleneck and root-cause analysis on the mapped process
- Quantifying time, cost and error impact per finding
- Prioritising improvements, including the non-technical ones
You get: A prioritised improvement plan with the expected return per item.
Design
Only now does technology enter the conversation. For each improvement we weigh the honest options (simplify the procedure, configure what you own, automate, or build) and design the smallest solution that solves the whole problem.
- Solution options with trade-offs, costs and risks made explicit
- Process redesign alongside the technical design
- Definition of the measures that will prove the improvement
You get: A concrete design and plan you could, in principle, take elsewhere.
Build
We deliver in short cycles, putting working software in front of your team early and adjusting while adjustment is still cheap. Integration with your existing systems, testing and security are part of the work, not an afterthought.
- Iterative delivery with a working result every cycle
- Integration with the systems you already run
- Automated tests, security review and documentation as we go
You get: A working, tested solution in production, not a prototype.
Embed & improve
A solution only counts once the team works with it without thinking. We train, document, measure the result against the phase-one baseline, and either hand over cleanly or stay involved for continuous improvement. The choice is yours.
- Training and documentation for users and administrators
- Measurement against the original baseline
- Clean handover, or a lightweight ongoing improvement rhythm
You get: Adopted change, measured results, and no dependency on us unless you want it.
Principles
The rules we don't bend
Method matters, but principles decide what happens when the method meets reality. These four hold in every engagement.
Business first, technology second
The goal is never 'implement a system'. It's shorter lead times, fewer errors, lower cost. Technology is one of the levers, and sometimes the right answer is a simpler procedure, not more software.
Measured, not assumed
We record a baseline before we change anything, and measure against it afterwards. Improvement is a number, not an impression.
Right-sized solutions
The smallest thing that solves the whole problem. No platforms where a workflow will do; no AI where a lookup table wins. Your budget goes to impact, not to architecture for its own sake.
Built to hand over
Documentation, tests and knowledge transfer are part of every delivery. You own the result, understand it, and are never locked into us.
Put a process in front of us
The first phase is small, fixed-price and produces something useful on its own: a validated map of how your process really works, and what it costs you.
